Originally known as the East Forgotten Isles, the military dictatorship known as the Kingdom of Autarchia was formed after the Mayhem Incident, which served to consolidate the Dictator's political power eliminate his biggest regional rivals and help to solve many of his nation's resource problems by creating a land bridge to exploit the dense natural resources formally only available to the East Forgotten Isles by land.
